Brenda Alford, a Baltimore native, and one of South Florida’s most celebrated jazz vocalists, has performed and recorded with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Horace Silver, Stanley Turrentine, Sonny Stitt, Tommy Flanagan, and Cyrus Chestnut. She has also been featured in two Hollywood films: Jon Waters’ Hairspray, and Barry Levinson’s Avalon. Brenda was a favorite of the great Lionel Hampton; she can deliver a song like Ella or Sarah, with the soulful style of Aretha.
