This program is presented in partnership with Fantasy Theatre Factory as part of their CAP@SRT - Cultural Arts Partnership Program series at the Sandrell Rivers Theater.
CAŌBA Programming (Same Gender Loving Men of Color Social Incubator Program) presents a celebration of Proud Gay Men of Color, with a special recognition to spoken word, and highlighting the life and work of BAYARD RUSTIN: American civil rights activist, gay rights activist, and MLK Jr confidante and speech writer (1912-1987). The event will include: State of the Community Round Table Panel Discussion, dance & musical performances, open mic & poetry slam, CAOBA Archives Video Project presentation & pop up studio, and a Community Resources Pavilion (with community organizations, artists, food, etc).
